A strange car accident happened in the Walnut Park West neighborhood of St. Louis, where an SUV became trapped in the roof of a home.
An SUV was speeding through a neighborhood when it hit a curb, went up the front lawn hill, launched into the air, and landed on the roof of a residential home. A witness to the accident, Larry Davis, caught the scene on Facebook Live.
“He never took his foot off the gas. You could tell, he never took his foot off the gas,” says Davis.
Miraculously, no one was inside the home when the SUV landed on the home. The driver of the vehicle was strapped inside his car for almost an hour before firefighters could extract him. He was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. The SUV sat on the roof for four hours before a towing company could pull it down.
This isn’t the first time that a speeding vehicle has ended up in the same yard. A neighbor across the street says it is the second time within six months. Others from the neighborhood claim that reckless driving and skipping stop signs are unfortunately common in the area.
The owner of the home was at the gym when a neighbor called and said he had to get home. The owner was said to be in disbelief and had recently paid the house off.
